Graduated with a MA in Art and Cultural Management in Paris, Julien-Loïc Garin started his career at the Fondation Pierre Berge –Yves Saint Laurent in 2006, then joined the Comité Jean Cocteau as the General Secretary, where he oversaw different exhibitions and events. He moved to Hong Kong in 2011 as the CEO of the prestigious French May Arts Festival, bridging French and Hong Kong cultures through over 120 events organised every year, including major exhibitions of Pablo Picasso, Claude Monet, the treasures from the Louvre museum, or performances by Zingaro, Bordeaux Opera Ballet, Orchestre Philarmonique de Radio France, etc. In 2017, he launched Lumieres Hong Kong, the city’s first light festival, dedicated to promoting Hong Kong’s art, culture and heritage to the general public. He was part of the organisation team behind the immersive show “En Voyage with Claude Monet” presented in West Kowloon Cultural District in late 2022.

As the Executive Director of the Foundation for Art and Culture, Julien-Loïc Garin is bringing his expertise in the cultural field, dedicated to support public and private institutions, in the definition and implementation of cultural strategies and arts-related events between Europe and Asia.
