The Foundation for Art and Culture’s mission is to connect cultures, people, and societies through the transformative power of art, while empowering collectors to become true patrons of the arts. The Foundation encourages our collectors to play an active role in the cultural landscape, fostering a spirit of philanthropy that goes beyond acquisition to actively support and promote the arts.

The Foundation is committed to cultural diplomacy, recognising its importance in today’s interconnected world. We are developing programs to strengthen Hong Kong's position as a leading hub for creativity in the Asia-Pacific region. Looking ahead, the Foundation will continue to support initiatives that incubate young and aspiring artists, facilitating cross-cultural connections and empowering the next generation of creators. Through these efforts, the Foundation for Art and Culture aims to leave a lasting legacy, not only by supporting art but by inspiring our community to contribute meaningfully to shaping the future of the art world.

Château de Gaudigny

The Château de Gaudigny was a place where Zao Wou-Ki lived, created, and contemplated for over thirty years. Today, the Foundation for Art and Culture seeks to preserve the soul of this unique site by transforming it into a living cultural center, open to contemporary creation and intercultural dialogue. The aim of this initiative is to honor the artist's memory, while fostering closer ties between the French and Chinese cultures so dear to Zao Wou-Ki.

The project envisions the Château de Gaudigny as:
The Giverny of Zao Wou-Ki, a sanctuary for artistic inspiration rooted in the harmony of nature and creation.
A Centre for the Arts, dedicated to contemporary creation, education, and the transmission of artistic heritage.
A Cultural Embassy Between East and West and the Davos of Culture, where dialogue, diplomacy, and artistic exchange transcend borders.

The Château de Gaudigny will become a bridge between two worlds, a place of transmission and resonance where the artists of today and tomorrow can create, exchange, and be inspired in a setting that is both intimate and universal. This project is based on a sincere commitment to cultural outreach and to remaining true to its spirit—an enduring tribute to the legacy of Zao Wou-Ki and a dynamic platform for global cultural collaboration.
