Fanny James is the Chief Operating Officer of VILLEPIN Group, where she leads strategic operations across the company’s dynamic portfolio spanning art, culture, and lifestyle initiatives.
With over 15 years of international experience in marketing, operations, and leadership, she plays a pivotal role in transforming creative visions into sustainable implementation to allow growth and global impact.
Fanny holds a Master’s degree in Marketing and Advertising from the Paris School of Business, where she was an active member of the Art Association.
Her professional journey began in Paris, where she worked for the Vivarte Group as a Communication Manager, managing activities such as brand promotion, PR and franchise development.She later joined the Cultural Representative Program at Walt Disney World in the United States, an experience that enriched her perspective on cross-cultural communication and guest experience excellence.
After relocating to Hong Kong in 2013, Fanny joined Pont des Arts, a pioneering brand that merges fine art with collectible wines. Over six years, she progressed from Marketing Manager to Director of Production and Operations, leading global projects and building high-value partnerships at the intersection of art and luxury. In 2019, she became Director of Operations at Art de Vivre Group later rising to General Manager.
She accompanied the transition to VILLEPIN Group in 2025 by leveraging the teams and rethinking the organisation in place, culminating in the 2025 rebranding of Art de Vivre Group to VILLEPIN Group. That same year, she was promoted to Chief Operating Officer of VILLEPIN Group, recognizing her instrumental role in driving operational excellence and strategic alignment across the Group.
